This self-paced program is structured to give you an overview and a guide to using evidence-supported NODA to supplement your diagnostic assessment practice.
The criteria to be an effective NODA clinician to assess at-risk children for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is:
- Have had at least 5 years’ experience in diagnosing autism and
- successfully complete this training, concluding with successfully complete a “Reliability” exercise compared to a Gold Standard case.
Please review all sections in sequential order. Some sections will include some fundamental questions to help confirm your understanding of the material.
When you are finished reviewing these videos and written material, please click on the “Start Assessment Exercise ” button on the last page entitled ‘How to Assess with NODA’. This will invite you to receive a special email invitation to access a 'sandbox' Test case, where you can use the NODA application to assess a test client, and compare your results to that of an experienced NODA clinician. At any time during that test assessment, you can go back to this training program for your reference.
